Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our worship services and small groups are online through Zoom. The church office is closed, but our pastors are working from home and can be reached by phone, text or email.

What We Are About
The Journey is a part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. We're a community walking the journey of life together with Jesus as our guide. Wherever you're from, we'd love to walk with you as you take your next steps with Jesus. We're committed to healing and growth. Inspired by Jesus' love, we find joy together in serving our neighbors.

Wonder Land Nursery
Wonder Land is the name of our Sunday Morning program for Infants and Toddlers. Wonder Land is a weekly program that runs during our Sunday Services at 10:30 am. Our nursery runs out of the well equipped and modern Child Care Centre located at the Forest Heights Community Centre. When you drop off your children at Wonder Land you'll be greeted by Leovina Canete, our staff person who is our regular face in the nursery, and our friendly team of nurturing volunteers.
Our Children's ministry program is a great way for kids to learn more about God's story and their place in it as we gather each week to imagine, wonder and marvel at God's love together.
Every Sunday from Sept-June your child is invited to meet in a small group with a leader who will engage them in fun activities as they dive into God's stories together. The activities are fun ---games, music, drama, crafts --- and everyone is made to feel welcome.
Making A Difference with Local Non-for-Profit Organizations
Mennonite Coalition for Refugee Support
Since 1987, MCRS has been “welcoming individuals and families coming into the Waterloo Region who need help to navigate the refugee claim process.”
The Journey partners with MCRS in their advocacy work as they provide assistance and guidance to refugee claimants in the process of filing a claim and also integrating into life in our region.
Journeyers can volunteer time and skill in the offices, provide translation help, and also consider opening their home to a refugee family for up to three months’ time through Open Homes.
As of Oct 1, 2019, Welcome Home Refugee House, now known as MCRS Guest House is now under the management and direction of MCRS. Stay tuned for new developments! www.mcrs.ca
